Biography

Dan Perry is an award-winning playwright whose plays have been produced and published across the U.S. They include Behind the Six (Loft Ensemble, Los Angeles); How’d We Get Here? (Celebration Theatre, Los Angeles); Lies We Tell to Sleep at Night (Newport Performing Arts Center, Newport, OR); The Gatekeepers (The Secret Theatre in Queens, NY, and the Snowdance Comedy Festival in Racine, WI); Dying With Laughter (Fierce Backbone, Los Angeles); People You Know (finalist for the TRU New Plays Series in New York City); Flipping the Script (Apricity and The Courtship of Winds magazines); and If It Goes There, which was a Pick of Fringe and Encore Producer’s award-winner at the 1999 Hollywood Fringe Festival. Dan is a proud member of the WGA, The Dramatist Guild, and The Alliance of Los Angeles Playwrights, and was awarded a special citation from the City of Los Angeles for “… further adding to the diversity, creativity, and artistic value of the Hollywood neighborhood and City of Los Angeles.”
